Follow your dreams.
Pursue your passion.
Spend time doing what you love.
These are all great sentiments, but there is a step missing. How do you know what you love? How do you find a passion? Where do you search to discover your dreams?
The missing step involves work, a lot of it. These are not questions you can find the answer to by accident. You need to experience life, try new things, and say “yes” to opportunities that will allow you to learn and grow. This process can start as a toddler or in adulthood, or at any point in your life in between.
Passion is cultivated, not found. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.
