The Talented Top 3%

November 09, 2012 by John Andrew Williams

Most high school students want to get into the best colleges.  The path that most students choose to take is excelling within the traditional track of the school system.  The same applies to almost any field – with the exception of perhaps medical.

The problem is that doing really well in an established system doesn’t require much creativity and in fact, it emphasizes the opposite: convergent, conformist thinking.

Colleges and employers are beginning to place a premium value on students who have done something remarkable outside the mold and put themselves in the talented top 3% who have created something and pursued a passion while developing skills.

The choice to do so is entirely up to you.

Why wait?
