Discipline comes from the Latin word discere meaning to learn.
Jeremy Gleick is a junior at UCLA who has spent an hour a day learning something completely new. From Ancient Greek lectures to Blacksmithing classes for the past two years, Jeremy has spent one hour a day becoming a polymath.
Clearly Jeremy has tapped into the discipline of learning. Or maybe he’s realized that the two are the same.
I’m struck by three things:
