Today’s life coaching question is:
What is the most important thing you need to do and how can you follow through with it?
This is part 2 of my takeaway from Martin Seligman’s talk at the International Positive Psychology Association Conference.
After Listening to Seligman’s talk, I had the opportunity to have lunch with John Haidt. He has a new book coming out about capitalism and the political scene, and his work is brilliant. We were talking about Martin Seligman and his way of being the shepherd of Positive Psychology through academia.
Seligman ended his talk during the conference by noting the two most important scientific discoveries that have been made in the last two years for Positive Psychology: the first was related to rat brains and the DRN, and the second is about using social media to measure a country’s happiness. Positive Psychology is going to thrive and flourish based on these scientific studies and more like them. Martin Seligman said that this is the most important thing.
Haidt mentioned that Seligman has the personality of a CEO, which is what allows him to be successful. Ultimately, Seligman looks out for the most important thing, focuses on it and puts people in place to execute it.
So my question to you is:
What is the most important thing you need to do and how can you follow through with it?
