Everyone Needs a Personal Board of Advisors

July 09, 2015 by John Andrew Williams

Today’s daily question is:

Who are your personal advisors and what personal board have you set up?

I just finished up a training last night, and the group has been together since January. As we were finishing up, people started talking about meeting once a month or getting together every once in a while. It became clear that there was a yearning for connection and a desire to stay into contact with one another.

This reminded me of something Shane Lopez, the Author of Making Hope Happen, discussed during his talk at the International Positive Psychology Association Conference. Lopez talked about accountability and how people desire mentors to help them throughout their lives. We like to have a personal board of advisors who provide support when we need it.

I have been reflecting on this, and so I want to ask you:

Who are your personal advisors and what personal board have you set up?
