We are on the cusp of a complete rebirth of creativity and human knowledge. While the Renaissance in the 13th century came about from the invention of the printing press, this “Second Renaissance” is fueled by the computer (or smart phones, tablets, and other “smart” technology).
In Chapter 7 of Ken Robinson’s Out of Our Minds: Learning to be Creative, he makes the distinction between science and the arts, and sets out to show how the two are becoming more and more intertwined. And with this newfound way of thinking, and need for both science and creativity, there is a special place developing for coaching.
