Creativity and Deadlines

October 29, 2012 by John Andrew Williams

Deadlines have a remarkable effect on creativity.

  • “This paper needs to be turned in by noon on Friday.”
  • “You have 45 minutes to work on this project and present it.”
  • “You have a week to learn this material and study for the test.”

I embrace deadlines.  They serve as a powerful structure to produce something.

Producing something is worth more than a perfect project still locked in an imagination.
