Parenting Paradox

September 20, 2012 by John Andrew Williams

The joy of parenting eclipses everything else. The smell of your newborn is precious beyond belief.

Then what happens?

Sleep deprivation. Teething. Terrible Twos. Terrible Threes. Pressure of picking the best school. Stress of trying to provide the best. Whining.

Then the teenage years…

The paradox of parenting is: it’s the most important and fulfilling work that we do. It’s also the biggest pain in the neck we’ve experienced.

And of course we wouldn’t change it for anything.
